WARBY PARKER

have you been looking for vintage inspired eyewear? better question...
have you been looking for affordable vintage inspired eyewear?
if you said yes, then i may have found the place for you... Warby Parker.
Its this great little eyewear company based out of New York City.

So now that you've found your dream glasses how do you get them?
Live in Ohio? Its pretty unlikely that you'll fly to New York to pick them up.

The nice thing about Warby Parker is their home try-on program. for $95 you select your 5 favorite frames.
They will then send you your chosen 5 to try on at home, you pick your favorite,
send all five back and they will then fill your prescription and send it back to you.

all for just $95! and for every pair you purchase they will donate a pair to a person in need.

Pretty awesome concept if you ask me.

  1. Hello:
This sounds to be an excellent idea, and we are both in need of new spectacles, but the Atlantic Ocean which separates us from Warby Parker may prove too great!!

  2. Love them! I bought two pairs a few months back. I took them to LensCrafters to have them adjusted (gratis, no less!) and have only gotten tons of compliments. I also heard that they're coming out with a line of sunglasses this summer. :)

    Take care,

Silkeborg - Ikea turkish rug

Incase you don't already know, Ikea has a great new (limited) rug collection out!  Its called Silkeborg and you won't find it on their website (at least in the US). Silkeborg rugs are made from vintage Turkish rugs that have been cut up (to save the good parts), dyed, shaved down and then sewn back together to form a one of a kind piece!  I encourage you to go check them out!  The quality is fantastic and prices are untouchable!  Below is a photo of the display I did the for Pittsburgh store. And one of the little guys I picked up for under my kitchen sink. Let me know what you think after you've seen them in person!   -Greg      style="display:block"      data-ad-format="fluid"      data-ad-layout="text-only"      data-ad-layout-key="-gw-1+1v-3d-12"      data-ad-client="ca-pub-4537218573050932"      data-ad-slot="71...

our new house

On January 16th, 2018 Elliott and I became homeowners!   After 10 years in our condo it was time... we wanted more space, a yard and no HOA.   We were looking  for years but nothing was right.  A friend of mine made us aware that this house had a for-sale-by-owner sign and in the process found out that my dads co-worker was the owner... lucky for us he recently acquired it with the purchase of a different house (in order to get the house he wanted this house he had to purchase this house as part of the deal) and he wanted nothing to do with this one so we jumped at it!  as is. with no inspection. eek!   The house was built in 1910 and was vacant for 7 years before we got it.  Ive been wanting to document this process all along (which i do on instagram @: ggpiccini) but life happens and i get busy... We had to get our condo ready to hit the market (two mortgages is no fun), which we did (and it sold in 3 days!) and we had to get th...

christian chaize

I've admired these photos for years and have finally found the photographer! Christian Chaize, a self-taught French artist, lives and works in Lyon, France. For the past 20 years he has had a successful career in commercial photography. The photos are of a small stretch of coastline in southern Portugal. He became obsessed with it while vacationing there in 2004... (lucky for me) I would love one above my bed in a high-gloss white frame
